Blind Baking Made Simple
What do you use to weigh down the pastry case when blind baking?
Traditionally cooks have employed dry beans, raw rice, lentils or similar - but now there's something much easier.
Our pie weight beads are a 36'' rope of 1/2'' diameter stainless steel balls that make all the old solutions obsolete.
Just coil the rope in the uncooked pie shell and pre-bake as usual to achieve a perfectly even, crisp, pale crust. |
