This is a great gift for fishing enthusiasts and a truly remarkable little gadget - a genuine good quality fishing rod that fits in a glove box or even a coat pocket. At only 8” (21.5cm) long, it looks no more than a large pen, but take off the cap and it extends to a 1.2m (4ft) fishing rod!
The rod is made from aluminium alloy, and has seven fibreglass draws that retract inside the handle for stowage (the reel detaches). The miniaturised reel is fully functional with a reversible ratchet (so you can use it right or left-handed), and line brake/clutch - something of an engineering masterpiece. It comes supplied with 25 metres of 5-lb (2.5kg) breaking-strain line and a spinner hook and lure.
