This outdoor furniture is made from sustainable native green oak. Green Oak is an exceptionally durable timber, which needs no chemical treatments or preservatives, making it maintenance free. Therefore, it is ideal for garden furniture, where it will naturally season and age gracefully .
Alternatively the scorched oak finish, as shown here, provides a bold statement for any environment. It is colour fast and remains black. As the work seasons, each piece takes on it's own individual character. Small cracks and splits may develop, however they will stabilise over time and will not effect the durability or aesthetic integrity of the work.
The benches are made from 100 mm section timber and are available with either brackets or longer legs for in ground fixing. The green oak benches should last in excess of 50 years, making them considerably cheaper in the long run than mass produced home assembled softwood, or imported tropical hardwood alternatives.
Using only the best available materials such as prime grade english green oak and marine stainless steel.
All of our hardwood come from well managed woodlands and are sawn by our local mill, thus ensuring a minimal carbon footprint.
