Started in 1997 to add a full range of cricket equipment to the established Masuri helmet brand, Chase aims to provide professional quality cricket equipment for the serious cricketer as well as a team range for those looking for good kit at an affordable price.
Immediately used and endorsed by Robin Smith, the hand made bats soon became a hit on the County circuit and at clubs and schools around Hampshire. As a specialist producer, sponsorship has been restricted to a few players, although the equipment has been seen on the international stage this year in the hands of Matthew Hoggard and Shaun Udal.
Shaun has now joined Robin Smith and former Hants and Somerset batsman Jon Hardy in developing and building the brand. Many years of First Class and Test match experience go into the design of all the products.
Chase will continue to offer only first grade bats, hand made at their Dummer premises as well as their Professional (175 series) and Team (167 series) equipment.
